We are reminded that bread is an easy and healthy way to add more fibre to our daily diet.
Bread is an important part of a meal, and there are many different varieties to choose from. High in fibre, whole grain, or simply your favourite bread – they all contribute fibre!
A few examples from our breads:
Puolukkalimppu – 3.1 g of fibre/slice
Saaristoilaislimppu – 3.1 g of fibre/slice
Rye bread – 2.7 g of fibre/slice
Tukholmalainen – 2.4 g of fibre/slice
Levain – 1.4 g of fibre/slice
The recommended daily intake of fibre is 25–35 grams. So let the small choices count – every gram makes a difference!
Bread Week is organised by Leipätieto ry, the joint communications organisation for bakeries, founded in 1961.
